The creative tandem of VodomiroV and Vitaliy I.V.A. originated in Saint Petersburg, where they recorded two albums "Aku-Aku" and released the compilation "Yasno" on the New Tone Academy label.

Years later, the musicians reunited, this time in Bali. The recording took place in a traditional Javanese Joglo house, which has a history of over 150 years. This solid teakwood house was moved from Java to a picturesque garden in the midst of Ubud's jungle.

Thanks to the decor based on traditional wood carving and the absence of nails in the structure, the house has unique acoustic properties, giving the recording an incomparable atmosphere.

The "Joglo" release consists of two tracks, each telling its own story.

"Acoustic Joglo" is a skillful improvisation on the Handpan by Vitaliy I.V.A., recorded by VodomiroV in a single take, along with the sounds of the environment, the singing of cicadas, and the rustling of palm leaves.

"Electronic Joglo" demonstrates the versatility of electronic music. It all started with an unusual sound extraction: Vitaliy I.V.A. dipped his hand into the Handpan's hole and spun it on his finger like a basketball, while his other hand played melodious trills, later processed by VodomiroV.

This release is not just a mix of acoustic and electronic music; it shows how music can become a means of communication, erasing the boundaries of time, distance, and musical genres, offering listeners a unique experience that awakens interest in culture and history.

The release concept was masterfully complemented by Masha Poity. Just two precise frames, taken with a vintage film camera, perfectly convey the atmosphere, highlighting the idea of each track.
